Split a song
into stems
An AI stem splitter for your own tracks: upload a song, get up to six stems back — vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and everything else, each one its own file to audition in the browser and download. One separation costs 8 credits, handed back automatically if it fails.
What AI stem separation actually hands you
The separation runs on Demucs. The app reads six named parts off the result and shows you the ones your track actually returned — no quality score, no percentage, just the files, playable before you download them.
Vocals
The sung takes on their own. This is your acapella.
Drums
The kit, lifted out as one part.
Bass
The low end, out from under everything on top of it.
Guitar
Its own part, when the track has one to find.
Piano
Its own part, when the track has one to find.
Everything else
The remainder — whatever did not land in one of the five named parts.

One generation is one video — a cut of three shots costs three of them. Counts are whole generations from a single credit pool, so mix video and images however you like. Longer clips cost proportionally more, and the studio shows the exact figure before you spend it.
3-day money-back guarantee. Not feeling it? Full refund within 3 days of purchase, as long as you've used 5 credits or fewer. Enough to genuinely test the studio — fair to the GPUs that did the work.
How a separation runs
STEP 1
Bring the track
Upload an audio file, or pick one already in your VideoSet library. There is no link box — the separator only reads files that came in through VideoSet.
STEP 2
Split it
One button, 8 credits. The page waits on the job for you and tells you when the parts are back. If the separation fails, the credits are refunded.
STEP 3
Keep the parts
Every stem gets a player and a download. Each one is copied into VideoSet's storage and the set is saved under “Saved separations”, so the parts you skipped are waiting when you come back.

And then what the parts are for
An acapella, straight out
Extract the vocals from a song and the vocal stem is the file you wanted. Download it on its own and leave the rest.
One instrumental file
Hand the non-vocal stems to Mix & Master and it engineers them into one record — levels, EQ, compression, de-essing, stereo space, then a loudness-targeted master — and returns WAV and MP3. Separate step, separate charge.
A lyric video
Lyric Video takes a track and a visual and syncs the words over it, in the same workspace and off the same credit balance.
Questions people ask before they upload
- Is this a vocal remover?
- It is the honest version of one. The vocals come back as their own file — that is your acapella — and the backing parts come back as their own files beside it. What you do not get from this step is a single vocal-removed mixdown: there is no instrumental button here, because the separator returns separate stems, not a new mix. To get one instrumental file, hand the non-vocal stems to Mix & Master, which is a second step and a second charge.
- How many stems do I get from one song?
- Up to six: vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, and everything else. You get the parts the model actually finds in your track, so a song with no piano on it will not come back with a piano stem. Every part that does come back gets its own player and its own download button.
- What does one stem separation cost?
- 8 credits, taken when you press the button. If the separation fails, the credits are refunded — the studio says so on screen and the refund is written by the server, not by asking support. Credits are one balance shared with the rest of the studio.
- Can I paste a YouTube or Spotify link?
- No, and there is no plan pretending otherwise: the separator reads an audio file you upload, or a track already sitting in your VideoSet library. There is no URL box, and the route only accepts files that came in through VideoSet — your upload, or something already in your library.
- Do the stems stay available after I close the tab?
- Yes. Each stem is copied into VideoSet's own storage as soon as it arrives rather than left on a provider URL, and the whole set is listed under “Saved separations” with a timestamp — so the parts you skipped are waiting in your account when you come back.
- Is there a free stem splitter here?
- No, and it would be dishonest to headline one. The studio needs a signed-in account with an active plan, and every separation spends credits, because the separation costs real compute. The trial opens the studio; it does not pay for a render. The exact terms are on the Starter card above.
- Can I release what I make with the parts?
- Every paid plan grants a full commercial licence on VideoSet output — worldwide, perpetual, and it survives cancellation; the detail is on the licensing page. Read that as what it says: it is a licence to VideoSet's output. It does not hand you rights in a song you did not write, so separating a track you do not own or control stays your call and your responsibility.
